Enacting laws that provide better bureaucracy, a responsible congress, a smarter justice system, and truth in journalism
A national service program which would assist in our country's defense, safety in our communities, education, health care, foreign aid and national unity
Moving into an education system which provides more help for teachers, eliminates wasteful local expenditures, and provides more mental health for children
A plan to aggressively attack global warming, not only utilizing conservation but embracing radical ideas to stop temperatures rising now
A very unradical and humanistic approach to immigration through public service
Using education and assistance to further the advancement of black and native Americans
Laws on corporations to ensure they contribute their fair share
The idea to form new coalitions not built on party, but on responsibility
Well- this is one of those "practice what you preach" things, even if it may be out of necessity
What the future could hold in store
I left the Democratic party a long time ago, though in my view, they left me first. The political parties no longer are about slightly different views of government or responsible governing. I left the Democratic party a long time ago, though in my view, they left me first. The political parties no longer are about slightly different views of government or responsible governing. It's now just about influence and power. Unfortunately we are now taught that there is an "us" and a "them" in this country. I simply refuse to believe that.
I think we are ultimately a country of good people doing our best to provide for our families and the future. I believe that the vast majority of us understand life is supposed to be hard at times and that we only want an easier road for our loved ones. That is the true American dream - accepting a harder today to make a better tomorrow.

The parties believe that despite the increasing complexities regularly presented in everyday life that we are less capable of understanding nuance in our country and our world. Our continued division is to sell us their product- the candidates they present to further their agendas. This system might work if, when new ideas are presented, they would be examined and embraced when of value, but the parties continue to churn out candidates to vote in one block and to speak on the same simple issues they've rehashed for decades. Compromise is looked on as weakness and party faithful are rewarded over the innovative and those with thoughtful examination on the issues. I believe in the intelligence of the average American and am proud to call myself one. I have no guaranteed answers, no one honestly can- but you already know that. I can promise my hard work and ideas that make sense. And I guarantee compromise for smart policy over inaction.
I couldn’t really find a good stock photo for nuance but I do like hot dogs.
So, we have now been given the choice of the politics of “right“ or “wrong” for their selected issues with little interest in solutions and the hope of blind allegiance to the morally right party. I have some experience with these issues, most of us do. But if you've taken the time so far to read through this and learned a little about me
So, we have now been given the choice of the politics of “right“ or “wrong” for their selected issues with little interest in solutions and the hope of blind allegiance to the morally right party. I have some experience with these issues, most of us do. But if you've taken the time so far to read through this and learned a little about me I'm assuming you aren't a one-issue voter. You are willing to listen to different views and ideas, and you probably realize that I write and talk way too much as it is. These "hot topics" that continue to divide the country don't define us or what we do and want to do. I’ve no desire to have hot political takes or become a Twitter or Tik Toc sensation. Good government is boring, slow, detail-oriented work, which I believe I have the right type of mental defect to find enjoyable. So I will give as brief a responses here as necessary- if you need a reason to find not to support me it will most likely be listed somewhere below.
A small or large government makes no sense- a household or business that runs on a strict growth or contraction would be backward and bankrupt, and neither party truly believes this anyway. The federal government should expand and contract based on the needs of the country, and this vacillation should largely run opposite of the business cycle to provide jobs in times of economic distress.
There isn't one. Please don’t believe this culture war story being used to divide us merely to sell a narrative and encourage your loved ones not to believe it as well - except, of course, those ones you don’t talk to anymore because their bad opinions put them on the wrong side of history.
This should be legal and we are seeing both a rise in abortions and life threatening activity since the overturn of Roe v Wade.

I personally paid for an abortion in my mid-20s and have been disappointed by the number of male politicians speaking on either side of this issue without a discussion of their personal involvement. I seriously doubt there are none. As I’m not a woman I feel my only place is to support the access of women’s right to choose.
Make it easier to become a citizen for people escaping horrible situations. This country was founded on a bunch of unwanted immigrants looking for a better life. I don't see how we could ever have the hypocrisy to actively keep people out. Plus, I think there is a good plan to do this if you want to scroll up a bit.
We need more training on safety and safe storage. I think licensing is smart and this violates neither the spirit nor the language of the constitution. But - no one is coming for your guns.
Neither party has a solution for this and neither caused it. The government can nudge us toward less inflation, but at the end of the day we all just have to wait it out- which it's looking like we are about at the end of it anyway. This has to do with business and the demand for profit and higher wages- not politics.
Yeah, we've got that. No issue
Yes, I'm for equal rights all across every spectrum, not only those based on sexual orientation. I think our laws guarantee that on a federal level, so today this is now an issue of the courts. Yes, I'm for equal rights all across every spectrum, not only those based on sexual orientation. I think our laws guarantee that on a federal level, so today this is now an issue of the courts. There are many bad justices out there who don't adjudicate based on our laws and constitution. That is the change that is needed- continually writing law will unfortunately change very little. I realize this answer doesn’t give the satisfaction of codifying the rights of every disenfranchised minority- but it’s the truth. If we guarantee judges do their jobs properly and rule based on our common law and constitution over individual belief or prejudice, we will see civil liberties flourish far beyond new legislation. The new wave of state laws trying to regulate sexual behavior is a violation of our Constitutions bill of rights and any judge that doesn’t fulfill their pledge to uphold the constitution needs to be impeached by Congress. And on a personal note I have dressed in drag several times and find it fun and the drag shows I’ve been to have been a great time. I have never felt fearful, isolated, or excluded in such events. I find it odd that anyone could try and reduce the rights of an person, particularly if such a warm, accepting community.
Comparatively speaking, we pay little percentage against most of the world. We have a pretty good system. If you want to vote on somebody promising less- you weren't gonna vote for me anyway and maybe you’re kinda gullible. If you want to vote on somebody promising less- you weren't gonna vote for me anyway and maybe you’re kinda gullible. I'm not saying more or less taxes, I'm just saying I like roads and schools and police and parks and such while still believing the government can find better ways to efficiently distribute tax revenue. It's one of those case by case things and seems too complex for blanket assertions that get votes, but hold little in reality.
anytime you have to help I will definitely take
